چکیده

Hypertension and kidney damage have been linked to lead exposure in adults. Any person can be harmed by lead, but pregnant women their unborn children are especially vulnerable. Presently, pollution is removed using membrane separation, ion exchange, precipitation, biosorption. Biosorption's low operating costs, high efficiency at detoxifying concentrations of toxicants, small volume disposal materials make it the least problematic these technologies. The biosorption (II) onto activated carbon from Tridax procumbens remodeled nonlinear regression optimal mode was determined a series error function assessments. Freundlich model performed best statistical tests including root-mean-square (RMSE), adjusted coefficient determination (adjR2), bias factor (BF), accuracy (AF), corrected Akaike Information Criterion (AICc) calculated parameters kF value 1.334 (1/g) (95% confidence interval 0.821 1.847) nF 3.872 C.I. 1.972 5.771). Modelling approach allows for calculation uncertainty range terms 95% that would useful comparison discriminant future studies

Adsorption of Copper (II) Ions from Aqueous Solution onto Activated Carbon Prepared from Cane Papyrus

The present study evaluates the suitability ofactivated carbon, prepared from Cane Papyrus, a plant that grows naturally and can be found quite easily, which serves as a biological sorbent for removal of  Cu2+ ions from aqueous solutions. Fourier transform infra-red analysis for the activated carbon, prepared fromCane Papyrus confirms the presence of amino (–NH), carbonyl (–C=O), and hydroxyl (...

Removal of copper (II) from aqueous solutions by adsorption onto granular activated carbon in the presence of competitor ions

In this work, the removal of copper from an aqueous solution by granular activated carbon (GAC) in the presence of competitor ions was studied. A batch adsorption was carried out and different parameters such as pH, contact time, initial copper concentration and competitor ions concentration were changed to determine the optimum conditions for adsorption. The optimum pH required for maximum ads...

Investigation of effective parameters on adsorption of amoxicillin from aqueous medium onto activated carbon

In this study, the adsorption of amoxicillin onto activated carbon was investigated. The effect of particle size and the effluent flow rate was discussed as well as the kinetics and isotherm of adsorption equilibrium. The isotherm equilibrium studies showed that the Langmuir model was appropriate for describing the adsorption equilibrium of amoxicillin onto the activated carbon. Furthermore, th...

Investigation of the Effect of Nanoparticles in the Cephalexin adsorption onto Walnut Shell-based Activated Carbon

Background and purpose: Recently, release of pollutants such as pharmaceuticals to the environment becomes one of the most important problems for soil and water. The present study was conducted to introduce walnut shell-based activated carbon (AC) as a new low-cost adsorbent for the removal of cephalexin (CFX) antibiotic from aqueous solutions. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted...
